How to reach Athenaeum Grand Hotel in Athens
From the Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos”
By metro
Upon landing at the Athens airport follow the signs taking you to the metro station. Get your ticket (10 euros/one way) and take Line 3 (Blue Line) to Agia Marina. As soon as you reach Syntagma, you will need to change to Line 2 (Red Line) to Elliniko. Your stop is Syngrou Fix, and the hotel is just a short walk from the metro station (800 m). The metro ride takes about an hour and service runs daily from 06:00 a.m. to 23:30 p.m.
By bus
There is 24-hour bus service (X95) to Syntagma square, Athens, from the airport every 20 minutes. When you reach Syntagma, you need to take Line 2 (Red Line) of the metro to Elliniko. Get off at Syngrou Fix station and you will find the hotel at a distance of 800 m. from the station. Alternatively, you may get a taxi from Syntagma square to the hotel. The cost is about 8 euro and varies depending on the traffic and time of the day. There is additional charge between 23:30 p.m. to 05:30 a.m.
By taxi

By car
From the airport follow the signs to Attica Highway (Attiki Odos) and head towards Elefsina. Take exit 8 that leads to the National Highway with direction Piraeus. Try to drive at the two left lanes, as towards the end of the Natinal Highway you have to take the exit to Poseidonos Avenue with direction to Glyfada / Athens. After driving for about 2 km on Poseidonos Av. turn left to at the intersection with direction to Athens. Drive for about 3-4 km on Syngrou Av. and you will find the hotel at 142 Andrea Syngrou Av. There is an underground parking lot at the hotel premises for your convenience.
From Piraeus Port
By metro (Line 1) from Piraeus Port
You can reach the hotel from Piraeus by taking Line 1 of the metro (Green Line). At Omonoia station you will have to change lines and embark on Line 2 (Red Line) with direction to Elliniko. Get off at Syngrou Fix station and you will find the hotel at a distance of 800 m. from the station. The ride from Piraeus station to the hotel takes about 50 minutes.
By taxi from Piraeus Port

From Rafina Port
By bus and metro (Line 1) from Rafina Port
An intercity bus service runs from Rafina port to the centre of Athens (Pedion Areos -Mavromataion street) daily from 08:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m. Tickets cost 2.60 euro. From Mavromataion street where the bus leaves you, walk down to Heiden street leading to the metro station on Victoria square. Take Line 1 (Green Line) of the metro with direction to Piraeus and get off at Omonoia station to change to Line 2 (Red Line) with direction to Elliniko. Get off at Syngrou Fix station and you will find the hotel at a distance of 800 m. from the station. For both metro rides you will need a ticket which is valid for 90’ and costs 1.40 euro.
By taxi from Rafina Port
